An unabashed and obvious lover of the color purple, Leisl is the metaphysical whackjob of the band with an almost unnatural fascination with languages, accents, dialects, and colloquialisms. Born in Catania, Sicily, she spent her formative years traveling the world and experiencing life in many different cultures. She has worked as a private cook, a proofreader, a bar tender and bouncer, and as a bill collector before settling into domestication as a stay-home mom. Always a singer, frequently an actress, and forever a klutz, she co-writes most of the songs of Juana Ghani giving the lyrics her bizarre twist on the world as she experiences it.
Her song continues to this day, telling tales of absinthian dreams and far away schemes.
